Time Window

In this lesson, you’ll learn how to configure the Time Window for placing your bets in the horse racing software. This feature allows you to specify a particular time range during which your bets will be placed, ensuring your trades occur under the best market conditions.

Key Points:

  • ⏰ Relative Time:
    • Market Open Time: Place your bets from the moment the market opens.
    • Before Race: Set a specific time before the race starts, such as one hour before.
    • Race Start: Bet at the exact time the race begins.
    • After Race Start: Enter your trades after the race has started.
    • Race End: You can place a bet up until the race ends, although this is usually less common.
  • 🎛 Slider Control:
The slider represents your betting window:
    • Left Notch: Start of your entry window.
    • Right Notch: End of your entry window.
  • 📅 Absolute Time:
    • If you prefer placing your trades at a fixed clock time, set your time window, e.g., from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM. The software will only consider opportunities within this period.

💡 Important Notes:

  • Scheduled vs. Actual Race Time:
    • Official Start Time: Use this if you want your betting window to align with the scheduled race time.
    • Actual Start Time: Choose this to account for any delays in the race start, which can be beneficial if you’re watching live and want to take advantage of last-minute market movements.
  • Combining Time and Price Settings:
    • For example, if you want to trade horses that trade between odds of 5 and 10, you can set the software to look for these opportunities only in the last hour before the race starts.

This feature is essential for refining your strategy, ensuring that your bets are placed during optimal market conditions.
