The Races View
In this lesson, you’ll get an overview of the “Race List” screen in the horse racing software. This is where you’ll find detailed information about each race scheduled for the day.
Key Features:
- 📋 Race List Overview: The top table displays all the essential race information, including the race distance, number of runners, class, race type, etc. A visual bar shows the relative length of each race compared to the longest race in the database, giving you a quick idea of how long each race is.
- 💷 Betting Market Data: You can also see the amount traded on Betfair for each race, providing insight into market activity.
- 🔄 Navigation: If you want to return to the course list, simply click the “Course Select” button at the top. To drill down further into a specific race, use the action button at the end of each row, which will take you to the runner list for that race. Clicking anywhere else on a race row will select that race and display expanded information in the lower panel.
- 📊 Detailed Race Info: In the lower panel, you’ll find summary stats for the horses, jockeys, and trainers participating in the selected race. The information includes totals of runs and wins, and by default, it’s ordered by card number. However, you can change the order if you’re interested in focusing on participants with the most wins, for example.
Once you’ve explored the race details, you can click the action button on any race row to dive deeper into the runner list for that specific race.
