The Strategy Bunker

In this lesson, you’ll explore the “Strategy Bunker” in the horse racing software, where you can organize, manage, and refine your trading strategies. This tool is essential for keeping track of different strategy versions and ensuring you can easily compare and revert to previous iterations.

  • 🗂️ Strategy Organization: The Strategy Bunker allows you to store all your strategies in one place. You can search through your strategies using the text search feature at the top
  • 🔍 Strategy Types: The “My Strategies” section is where you’ll primarily work, but you can also explore preset strategies provided by the software or other members. If your strategy list becomes too crowded, you can archive older strategies without losing them, keeping everything neat and organized.
  • 📋 Creating and Naming Strategies: When you’re ready to create a new strategy, simply click the “New Strategy” button. You can name your strategy and its first version, with the ability to rename them anytime. All changes are automatically saved to the database.
  • 🔄 Versions: The Strategy Bunker allows you to save different versions of your strategies, so you never lose track of changes. This is particularly useful if you like to tweak your strategy over time. You can compare versions easily, revert to an older version, or continue refining your ideas.
  • 🛠️ Managing Versions: Each strategy and its versions come with tools for expanding, collapsing, archiving, and deleting. You can also create new versions that inherit settings from previous ones, allowing you to make incremental changes without losing your progress.
  • 🚀 Activating Strategies: Once you’re satisfied with a strategy, you can activate it to start using it live. Activation makes the strategy appear in the daily qualifiers section, allows you to filter it in the quick filters section, and shows an icon in the runner list if any runners qualify for that strategy. You can only activate one version per strategy, but multiple strategies can be active simultaneously.
